James Melsom Landschaftsarchitekt BSLA<\/strong><\/p>\n

James Melsom is a Senior Lecturer and practicing Landscape Architect and member of the BSLA<\/a>, the Swiss Institute of Landscape Architects, collaborating in projects in Switzerland and throughout Europe.
\nCo-founder of the research laboratory LANDSKIP<\/a>\u00a0with Ilmar Hurkxkens<\/a> working throughout the world on landscape scanning, research,\u00a0analysis and transformation projects.
\nCurrently Senior Lecturer at University of Technology Sydney<\/a>, UTS. From 2007 to 2017 he worked as teacher and research fellow at the Institute of Landscape Architecture, ETH Zurich girot.arch.ethz.ch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n2024.01 SYDNEY : An invited article published in LANDSCAPE AUSTRALIA<\/a> magazine on Landscape Technology & Innovation.
\n2024.01 BASEL : A travelling studio shall take place with 16 Australian Landscape and Architecture students throughout Switzerland in January and February of 2024, lead by James Melsom.
\n2023.12 BALI : A travelling studio took place with 20 Australian Landscape Architecture students and 5 local students from Udayana University, Denpasar throughout Bali December of 2023, lead by James Melsom.
\n2023.03 ZURICH : A chapter in the ETH Zurich publication TERRAIN VOGUE<\/a>.
\n2022.10 SYDNEY : National AILA Landscape Award for research, more details at the UTS announcement<\/a>.
\n2021.04 VENICE : A video work and aerial photography by James Melsom of LANDSKIP<\/a> are part of the Future Assembly<\/a> exhibition, at the heart of the Central Pavillion<\/a>\u00a0in the Venice Biennale of Architecture<\/a> with Alessandra Ciancetta of AWP<\/a> . The exhibition is curated by Studio Other Spaces and Olafur Eliasson, among others.
